Lawrence's father is a teacher and is very supportive of his education. His mother takes care of his younger sister and 2 younger brothers. It was challenging for Lawrence and his parents when he started school. It was the peak of the pandemic and face-to-face classes were restricted. Lawrence was guided by his father with his modules and video lessons made by his teachers. Despite the distance learning setup, Lawrence can now write his name with the help of the tracing worksheets and can identify numbers 1-10. Thankfully, after more than 2 years, the Department of Education allowed the re-opening of face-to-face classes at the start of the 2022-2023 school year (his kindergarten year). Lawrence was happy to meet his teachers and classmates. It was also a big surprise that he adjusted well in school and especially in the dormitory knowing that it is his first time to be away from his family. He enjoys art and playing with the other kids. His favorite color is blue.
