Mark Rheve is a good boy, but he is quite timid. He has one brother and one sister. He likes to help his mother with housework and joins his father to catch fish occasionally. His father earns money as a welder, while his mother stays home to care for their children. His father's income, however, is not enough to cover all their daily expenses. They prioritize food and children's education over other needs. Last school year, on the other hand, Mark's teacher admired him for being helpful and friendly to others. He helped his teacher with some chores at school and is now joining his peers at snack time. Mark is excited to learn more about sign language. He loves to draw, and his favorite color is red.
