Jemuel is known to be a respectful and responsible child. He has one brother and one sister and is the only Deaf in the family. Both his parents are barangay officials and farming is their secondary source of income. Jemuel likes to stay in the dormitory where he can be with his friends. He loves to attend school every day. His teacher acknowledges his dedication to finish his studies. In fact, he is one of the fast learners and consistently has good grades in his class. He enjoys learning sign language and solving math problems. He also has good penmanship. Right after his classes, he never forgets to do his assignments at the dormitory along with the other dormers.
